Re-introducing the Ron's Rider rail bike, the legacy continues!

The refined and redesigned evolution of the original Ron’s Rider rail bike that has been saving the rails since 1975! The Ron’s Rider series 3 is designed with the hobbyist in mind and is equipped with 2 pedaling positions complete with freewheels, front and rear bicycle style disc brakes, BMX style “Ashtabula” cranks, and comes with our world famous 17 inch polyurethane wheels in blue*. The backbone of the Ron’s Rider is the professionally TIG welded aircraft grade aluminum frame which provides for a lightweight unit which can be easily picked up and turned when needed.

Although the Ron’s Rider series 3 tandem was developed as a cost effective entry level rail bike with the hobbyist in mind it can be upgraded with a slew of options suitable for the weekend warrior. These options include the engine prep kit (see notes below), electric drive system, impact bumpers with or without rubber bumperettes, tow hitch, sweep kit (for knocking light debris from dirty rails), premium seats, cargo tray, and last but not least a lighting package.

Engine prep kit includes:

12 inch frame extension
Motor mount plate suitable for Honda or Predator engines
Snowmobile style torque converter
Axle drive sprocket

Please note: Due to insurance restrictions we are unable to supply the motor or throttle.

*May substitute blue wheels for another color depending on stock quantities

Your Ron's Rider will be shipped assembled on a pallet. Grease must be applied to the axle bearings before riding and small adjustments may need to be made. Failure to grease or make initial adjustments WILL damage the unit. Railriders.net will not warranty damages caused by failure to grease or properly adjust the unit. We will happily walk you through this short process to make sure you get the most out of your new rail bike.

The Ron's Rider is built to order and is NOT in stock. Please allow 8-12+ weeks for construction and delivery.

Due to the worldwide economic situation our suppliers are limiting the amount of hard parts we can get, turnaround times are longer than usual.
