What is a Railrider™?
A Railrider™ is a 4 wheeled bicycle designed exclusively for travel down railway tracks. A Railrider™ usually has either 2 or 4 seats but can be used by just one person.
Is it legal?
With permission of the railroad that owns the line, YES! You simply cannot hop on any rail line and hope for the best. ALL railroads are owned by someone, somewhere and you must expect a train at anytime, anywhere.
How do you know when a train is coming?
You don't. Trains are a lot quieter than you might think. A Railrider should NEVER be used on an active railroad unless you have been granted specific permission to do so.
What happens if a train comes?
The short answer...You die.
How fast do they go?
Our products are rated for a maximum safe speed of 15MPH. However, many of our customers report reaching higher speeds. The number one thing that determines potential top speed and ride quality will always be the condition of the track.
Where can I ride?
Currently there are 30+ locations in the USA where you can participate in a commercial tour, nearly all of them make use of our products! Unfortunately there are not as many locations for private owners to take their rail bike. Railriders.net™ does not endorse the practice of riding without permission and no advice on this practice will be offered.

How much do they weigh?
A Railrider without an engine weighs about 150LBS.
Are they hard to pedal?
Not at all! The best way to describe it is as if you're "riding on glass".
Can you put a motor on it?
Yes! We offer packages for both gasoline and electric motors.
Do they have brakes?
Yes! Our bikes have either mountain bike disc brakes or heavy duty hydraulic brakes depending on the application.
Do you ship to_________?
Yes! We ship anywhere in the world.
How do you ship a Railrider™?
We ship our rail bikes VIA truck freight. We can work out the details to ship a large order as well.
Can you handle a large order?

Why are your products so expensive?
Because they're made in the USA and built to last.
Do you offer discounts?
Unfortunately, not. Our products are made in the USA from premium materials, not in a factory overseas utilizing cheap labor and inferior parts.
Can we tour your factory?
Not at this time.
