12 inch polyurethane railroad wheel
Our customers have been asking for a wheel that can take a little more weight than our original 17” wheels. After throrough engineering, design and extensive testing we are pleased to offer the Railriders™ 12 inch wheel.
The 12 inch wheel is made of proven, durable polyurethane and is strong enough to take the abuse of neglected, abandoned rails. Although this wheel is smaller than our ouriginal 17 inch wheels they are designed to take more weight and feature a 450LB service load on the load bearing surface of the wheel.
As with all of the wheels we manufacture the 12 inch wheel is non-conductive, quiet and smooth running, will not set off crossings or activate track signals and features a thermal range of 200F to -40F.

These wheels are not just for rail bikes. Many Hollywood productions have used the 12 inch wheel for camera trolleys and other equipment.
These wheels have also found their way into various other applications such as home sawmills and light duty overhead trolley systems.
